Meet Kate
Kate, a little girl with orange pigtails and a sobering story, has become the poster child for food banks across the nation and the families they are helping.
While Kate seems like an ordinary girl, there is something you don’t know about her. Her dad lost his job and now her family is struggling to make ends meet. They often don’t have money for food and sometimes Kate is hungry.
Sure, Kate is just a cartoon, but her story is shared by 35,000 children in the four-county region served by Treasure Coast Food Bank.
