Summer Meals Program (June-August)
This program prepares and distributes breakfast, lunch, and snacks for children on summer vacation. Volunteers will receive a briefing on the day’s meal(s) to be distributed to Summer Meals Program sites; issue and document Summer Meals, load meals into hot/cold holding containers; accurately document times that meals were picked-up, equipment was returned and issued; wash, clean, sanitize & store kitchen tools, containers & equipment. Assist with general pick-up/clean-up as needed and requested by Executive Chef: wash, sanitize and store kitchen tools and equipment, prep for next day’s meal, sweep, mop and store supplies as needed.
Where: Treasure Coast Food Bank Production Kitchen
Who: Up to 30 volunteers per shift
Age Requirement: 18 years of age
Dress Code: Due to safety concerns all volunteers must wear close-toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops) and clothes appropriate to work in a kitchen environment.
