This National Nutrition Month, we celebrate the power of food—how it fuels our bodies, strengthens our minds, and connects us. Across the Treasure Coast, our partners and neighbors are embracing nutrition education, making informed choices, and working to ensure fresh food is accessible to all.
In Wabasso, the Florida Department of Health in Indian River County has partnered with Treasure Coast Food Bank to expand food access and nutrition programs. Their pantry, cooking classes, and community gardens empower neighbors with the tools to nourish themselves and their families.
“We’ve seen firsthand how learning about food and nutrition helps people take charge of their health and build stronger futures,” shares Community Health Improvement Manager Mollie Steinwald.
When we connect with our food, we gain:
Empowerment – Nutrition education helps families make informed, budget-friendly meal choices.
Wellness – Fresh, nourishing food fuels strong bodies and minds.
Stronger Communities – Shared meals and local food programs create lasting impact.
Be part of Treasure Coast Food Bank’s mission to nourish our community and empower healthier futures:
• Shop locally to support fresh food access.
• Try new recipes to explore balanced, sustainable eating.
• Volunteer or donate to help strengthen nutrition programs.
By connecting with our food, we build a healthier Treasure Coast—where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
