Tammie Graham is passionate about giving back to her community — so much so that she sometimes volunteers at other Treasure Coast Food Bank agency partner sites even after working the night shift at a local department store.

“I’m the type of person that likes to help. I just love it — the energy, the people, the fact that I’m helping people,” Tammie explains. “I get a sense of pride, fulfillment, and accomplishment.”

She appreciates that it’s easy to pick and choose when she volunteers to fit with her work schedule. And she enjoys the comradery between the volunteers.

“It feels like a family unit because we’re able to laugh, joke, work, and give back to the community,” Tammie shares.

Not only is Tammie investing in her community, but she is also setting a good example for her two sons — Devin, 15, and Isaiah, 18. Her boys also volunteer with Treasure Coast Food Bank.

We are so grateful for every volunteer like Tammie and her sons who spends their time and energy investing in our Treasure Coast community — thank you!
