Pastor Matt’s journey with our Mobile Pantry Program started as a desire to give back to the community with his church, Christ Fellowship Okeechobee.
Now, Matt and his congregation are regular volunteers at all Okeechobee Mobile Pantry locations, every single month.
“A large variety of families just need an extra boost in their food,” he says.
Our steadfast community of volunteers make sure these pantries are completed efficiently and with the extra level of compassion that each of our neighbors deserve.
With multiple locations each month throughout our four county service area, Treasure Coast Food Bank’s Mobile Pantry Program serves thousands of families every month.
Together with dedicated volunteers like Pastor Matt, we distribute healthy meals, and more. Having access to healthy food through the Mobile Pantry Program allows our neighbors experiencing hunger to have room in their budgets to pay for other life necessities like housing, electricity or childcare.
“We need to make sure we come alongside those families struggling with high food costs to ensure they are being fed,” he says.
We are deeply grateful to Pastor Matt for sharing his passion, kindness and leadership to further our shared mission of ending hunger and food insecurity along the Treasure Coast.
