Wendy spends her free time caring for her yard and making improvements to her home, not only to create a comfortable space for herself but also to ensure her 92-year-old mother, Gloria, has a safe and nurturing environment to call home.
Wendy works part-time for a Veteran’s organization. Given the high cost of living, her budget is limited, making it difficult to keep up with the family’s expenses. Like many of our neighbors, affording healthy groceries has been incredibly difficult.
Wendy learned about Treasure Coast Food Bank’s mobile food distribution programs and now visits the Treasure Coast Mall Mobile Pantry every month to pick up healthy food for her family.
“I’m grateful we have this; it definitely helps that’s for sure” Wendy says.
