Every year, Treasure Coast Food Bank stands ready—prepared to provide immediate support to our communities across the Treasure Coast, throughout the state, and to our national partners when disasters strike.

When a disaster occurs, neighbors who have never experienced hunger can find themselves in need of help. For people already facing hunger, it can be a crisis within a crisis. Whether responding to local emergencies or natural disasters, our role is clear: deliver support where and when it’s needed most.

As storm season rapidly approaches, the completion of our new 132,000 square-foot, hurricane-hardened operations center is more critical than ever. This building is the foundation of our $30 million Feed Unite Flourish campaign and is designed to strengthen our emergency response and recovery efforts across the state and region — enabling us to act faster and reach more families.

“This new operations center will strengthen our ability to get the right resources to people at the right time,” said Judith Cruz, President and CEO of Treasure Coast Food Bank. “As our community continues to grow so does our responsibility to meet the needs of our neighbors, through every storm, every crisis and every tomorrow.”

Treasure Coast Food Bank’s new operations center will:

Provide a hurricane-resilient base for uninterrupted operations during and after storms.
→ Ensure continuous food distribution and emergency assistance during crises.
Serve as a staging area for the state of Florida’s emergency disaster response teams.
Double warehouse space to strengthen daily operations & emergency support.
Increase freezer and cooler storage for fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, and dairy.
→ Expand production kitchen to deliver hundreds of thousands of prepared meals.

To help our community prepare for storm season, we’ve developed a Hurricane Preparedness Manual—a practical guide with tips, checklists, and resources to help households stay safe and informed before, during, and after a storm.
