GIVE TIME – VOLUNTEEER
Fighting Hunger doesn’t always start with a meal. It starts with those who serve. In 2018, Treasure Coast Food Bank had more than 16,000 volunteers provided over 48,000 hours of service to their community. Volunteer opportunities range from sorting and boxing food, distribution and home deliveries, administrative, outreach, food drive pick-ups, event support, and more. Whether you’re an individual, group, or company there are many opportunities to volunteer.
TREASURE COAST FOOD CORPS
There are many ways you can be involved with Treasure Coast Food Bank throughout the year. We are currently looking for people to join our Treasure Coast Food Corps – a group dedicated to supporting our efforts in a variety of areas.
Treasure Coast Food Corps is a dedicated group of individuals who donate time regularly at Treasure Coast Food Bank to lead projects in almost every facet of our organization. This program is designed to expand upon existing skills or develop new leadership skills. With countless opportunities available in our community each year for us to participate, our Treasure Coast Food Corps volunteers are essential to the operation of the Food Bank by leading, training, and organizing these groups and activities.
Mobile Corps – Volunteers assist with mobile distributions and deliveries to homebound individuals.
Social Corps – Volunteers receive training to be a part of our Speakers’ Bureau, who deliver presentations on behalf of our organization at a variety of meetings and luncheons. This corps also include anyone interested in serving on a special event committee for our annual events such as Pack the House and Hunger Action Month.
Meals Corps – Volunteers assist with food rescue and delivery to partners through our Meals 4 Miles Program. They can also assist with our daily operational needs such as administrative/office assistance, facility and vehicle maintenance, warehouse assistance, and commercial driving expertise.
Culinary Corps – Volunteers assist in our Production Kitchen with a variety of meal prep duties to support our After School Meals and Summer Feeding Programs.
Client Corps – Volunteers will engage with clients to obtain success stories and/or provide educational workshops around health, wellness, food, and nutrition.
