As the government shutdown enters its sixth week, Treasure Coast Food Bank is experiencing a significant increase in need across our region. With more than 80,000 families impacted by the disruption of SNAP benefits, our team is responding with urgency and care, expanding mobile distributions, coordinating with agency partners, and working to ensure consistent access to nutritious food. We’ve seen a 20–25% rise in the number of individuals served weekly. This growing demand, coupled with earlier reductions in food funding, has stretched our resources thin. We are calling on our community to stand with us, through food donations, financial contributions, and volunteer support, so we can continue to provide stability and nourishment to our neighbors during this critical time.
