Like so many parents, Veronica’s priority is to set her kids up for success. And that means making sure Zaias (age 9) and Viviana (age 6) have enough healthy food to eat.
Veronica has epilepsy and is unable to work. Her health complications coupled with the very high cost of living make it difficult for her to keep nourishing meals on the table for her kids.
“It’s difficult, especially buying milk and eggs,” Veronica says. “Everything is so expensive right now.”
Your generosity means she can visit our Lakewood Park Mobile Pantry to pick up healthy groceries for her family every month.
“It helps a lot for the kids,” Veronica shares. “It’s not just about learning in school — the [kids] need the right help for health problems too.”
Not only are you helping provide Zaias and Viviana with the energy they need to learn and grow but you’re also helping to give them the stability needed to reach for their dreams. Viviana aspires to become a surgeon, and Zaias hopes to one day become a police officer.
Thank you for providing nutritious food for families like Veronica’s so she can focus on raising her beautiful family and taking care of her health.
