INDIANTOWN — Treasure Coast Food Bank made sure that dozens of families in Okeechobee and Indiantown would have plenty of food in their homes during the holiday weeks.
Volunteers and staff gave out turkeys and hams, and everything needed for a traditional holiday meal from Treasure Coast Food Bank’s mobile pantry during special visits to the two communities.
The mobile pantry went to the Boys & Girls Club in Indiantown and the Okeechobee Department of Health. Both organizations partnered with Treasure Coast Food Bank to make the food distributions possible.
During the holidays, Treasure Coast Food Bank ramps up mobile pantry stops to make sure families can focus on the joys of the holiday and not have to worry about the most basic of human needs.
