When Tatiana Rousseau moved to Florida, volunteering helped her build community.
Tatiana lives in Port St. Lucie and has been giving her time with Treasure Coast Food Bank for nearly five years.
She first learned about the nonprofit through her employer, a local Dunkin’ Donuts franchise that participates in an annual donation effort. After her first company volunteer experience, she reached out to continue volunteering on her own.
Tatiana now serves our community whenever her schedule allows, often on weekends, supporting open houses, festivals, and 5k events. When she isn’t volunteering with Treasure Coast Food Bank, she spends time helping at a local animal shelter.
She says her desire to give back comes from her mother, who taught her the importance of community service.
“She is a huge inspiration to me,” Tatiana says.
For Tatiana, volunteering has also been a way to build lasting connections.
“Volunteering can help you meet great people,” she says. “It will make you feel fulfilled. It makes you feel good because you are doing good.”
She adds, “Together, we can make the community feel whole… a little action goes a long way.”
If you would like to give the gift of time, please consider volunteering to help make an impact along the Treasure Coast.
