Tanya Campbell was looking for a way to get involved in her community when she discovered Treasure Coast Food Bank.
A year and a half later, her monthly volunteer shifts at Food Bank Mobile Pantries have more than met her goal of making a difference.
“I love to learn and meet new people,” Tanya says. “Volunteering helps me advocate and educate the public on Treasure Coast Food Bank’s impact.”
Tanya, who describes herself as “outgoing and bubbly” deepened her engagement with the Food Bank by playing an active role on this year’s Hunger Action Month volunteer committee, including helping plan the 6th Annual Out Run Hunger fundraising event.
“It is nice to know that people are not doing this alone,” she says of being able to work alongside so many community members.
Tanya has a simple message for anyone considering volunteering.
“If you are able, Treasure Coast Food Bank has opportunities for you.”
We’re so grateful for Tanya and the many volunteers who give their time and talents to help End Hunger along the Treasure Coast. If you would like to give the gift of time, please consider volunteering to help make an impact along the Treasure Coast.
