About This Program
The After School Meals Program provides children and teens with a healthy, balanced meal at the end of the school day—filling a critical nutrition gap for families who may struggle to put dinner on the table. Offered in partnership with schools, community centers, and youth programs, these meals are served in safe, supervised environments where students can also participate in enrichment activities, homework help, and social engagement.
By ensuring that students have access to nutritious food after school, the program supports their physical health, academic performance, and overall well-being. For many children, this may be the last full meal of the day, making it an essential part of their daily nutrition. The After School Meals Program is one more way the food bank is working to fight childhood hunger and help kids thrive—both in and out of the classroom.
