Position Summary:
The Mobile Distribution Coordinator will provide oversight of Treasure Coast Food Bank’s (TCFB’s) Mobile Pantries/Programs in assigned service areas. Coordinate overall management, operation, and reporting for the Mobile Distribution programs. In collaboration with TCFB’s Mobile Pantry community partners, the Coordinator will ensure that our mobile programs are able to efficiently and effectively distribute nutritious food while ensuring food safety and program compliance. The Mobile distribution Coordinator will ensure the success of the mobile distributions to meet the immediate need for food equitably throughout our service area, positively impact long-term food security in our community, and foster a hunger relief culture within our community and our organization.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as a site leader at mobile pantry distributions to direct all on-site activities of the volunteers at a distribution.
- Maintains crowd/line control and ensures the safety of volunteers and clients at the distribution site.
- Ensure all products are properly pulled and staged for each distribution, and that necessary supplies and equipment are stocked on the mobile food pantry truck.
- Ensure that the TCFB truck and warehouse equipment are properly maintained and cleaned and are fully serviceable for distribution, and report any defect of the mobile pantry truck and warehouse equipment to the supervisor.
- Maintain and provide accurate and timely reports, including vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip logs), sign-in sheets, distribution reports regarding food distribution, client data, and other required data.
- Comply with OSHA, DOT, and ServeSafe safety policies and programs developed for the mobile pantry program, warehouse operations, and fleet maintenance, and support efforts to maintain a clean and safe warehouse and fleet.
- Manage supplies for each mobile site in the assigned service area.
- Collect and submit data as needed for the assigned distributions.
- Manage third-party outreach at mobile distribution to ensure all TCFB policies are followed.
- Develop relationships with local companies or organizations to support volunteer opportunities at assigned mobiles.
- Develop relationships with local area partners receiving distribution leftovers.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for additional food distributions.
- Work with the program manager to develop safe and effective distribution policies to meet the service area’s needs.
- Possess an openness and willingness to perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Work Environment
This job operates in the field in a community-based environment that fluctuates both indoors and outdoors. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc. The noise level is moderate. In instances of a federal, state, or locally declared emergency, Treasure Coast Food Bank is typically considered an essential service and emergency responder; all of its employees may be called in to perform regular or emergent duties outside the scope of their usual responsibilities.

The Mobile Pantry Driver will work in various weather conditions, including high heat/humidity, cold weather, and rain for 3-4 hours at a time. Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of eight hours. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. This position requires the employee to work Saturdays occasionally.
