What will you do as Treasure Coast Food Bank’s Accounting Coordinator?
The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance of Agency Receivables and Accounts Payables functions. The Accounting Coordinator provides administrative support to ensure efficient, timely and accurate disbursements and receipts.

Accounting Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and disbursements.
- Review quarterly Use and SalesTax for payment.
- Process annual 1099- Misc 07 forms.
- Support member agencies with technical and managerial finance and accounting information in order to increase their capacity building.
- Maintain member agency relationships by monitoring of agency accounts, inquiries, and monthly statements.
- Compile and track member agency data for grant allocations and reporting purposes.
- Assist with government grants including invoicing and reporting.
- Maintain proper accounting documentation and filing systems.
- Provide assistance with year-end audit schedules and back-up documentation for internal, governmental program, and external auditors.
- Ensure all transactions and allocations are in compliance with GAAP, grants guidelines, and Food Bank policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as needed to fulfill our mission, drive our vision, and abide by our values.
- Essential business/ first responder: In instances of a federal, state, or locally declared emergency, Treasure Coast Food Bank is considered an essential business service and emergency responder. All employees may be required to perform regular or emergent duties on-site. Employee safety is balanced with business and community necessity. Some positions are more likely to be required on-site than others.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Computer proficiency in Outlook programs and Excel required.
- Experience with inventory and fundraising software.
- Detail oriented individual with the ability to analyze numbers and conduct research.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior customer service skills in person and on the phone.
- Excellent organizational skills to ensure maintenance of documentation and filing systems.
- AA in Accounting and accounting experience a plus.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality of Food Bank data.
- Ability to work in a diverse environment with people of various age, educational, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Valid Florida driver’s license with good driving record and have daily access to a car.

Physical Requirements & Acknowledgement:
This work is in an office environment and requires local travel in the service area. Must be able to sit at a computer workstation for up to eight hours. Ability to move, bend, lift, and carry up to 30lbs. on occasion throughout the 3 Food Bank facilities. Ability to communicate clearly in person and over the phone. Ability to interpret instructions and questions when asked. After business hours, work is required occasionally throughout the year. Travel between quad-county areas using a personal vehicle may be required.
