DESCRIPTION:September is Hunger Action Month™ – HAM. \nHunger Action Month is a multi-faceted effort to mobilize the public to end hunger in our community. For many\, a daily meal is a simple choice of what to eat. But for people facing hunger\, a daily meal poses a very different type of choice. It’s often an impossible choice between food and other crucial needs\, such as electricity\, childcare\, or medicine. \nOn the Treasure Coast ― 1 in 4 people face hunger. Joining the nationwide movement to end hunger helps ensure everyone\, no matter their race\, background or ZIP code\, has access to the food and resources needed to thrive. \nJoin us\, this September is Hunger Action Month\, an annual nationwide awareness campaign designed to inspire everybody to take action in the movement to end hunger. \nIn the coming months\, we will begin sharing more information about events and ways to get involved.
