The giving season has arrived with the advent of fall and anticipation of the holidays – a time when the spirit of giving shines brightest as the community helps those who struggle with hunger.

From Monday, Oct. 17, through the end of the year, Treasure Coast Food Bank is holding its annual Great Treasure Coast Holiday Food and Funds Drive to ensure that all families enjoy holiday meals and worry-free family dinners throughout the season.

We enter the season with stocks a little low this year. We’re asking everyone in the community to get involved by organizing a food drive, donating funds, or giving a turkey during the annual Turkey Drop on Nov. 12. There also are volunteer opportunities to help as food is brought in.
