Treasure Coast Food Bank will host its 2016 Turkey Drop on Saturday Nov. 12 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Turkey Drop is an annual event in which the community donates turkeys so those who struggle with hunger can enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving holiday meal.
Treasure Coast Food Bank’s staff and volunteers will be stationed at sites throughout the Treasure Coast on that Saturday with refrigerated trucks to make it convenient for people to drop off a frozen, uncooked turkey.
This year’s Turkey Drop locations are:
Treasure Coast Harley Davidson – 4967 SE US Highway 1, Stuart
Well Med Fort Pierce – 1423 South US Highway 1, Fort Pierce
Publix Supermarkets – 1501 NW Federal Highway, Stuart
Publix Supermarkets – 10400 SW Village Center Drive (Tradition), Port St. Lucie
Winn Dixie – 995 Sebastian Blvd., Sebastian
Archie’s Seabreeze – 401 Ocean Drive, Fort Pierce
CVS Pharmacy – 1706 US Highway 1, Vero Beach
Perkins Restaurant – 9202 South Federal Highway, Port St. Lucie
Turkey Drop takes place as part of Treasure Coast Food Bank’s Great Treasure Coast Holiday Food & Fund Drive continuing through the end of the year. Treasure Coast Food Bank encourages everyone to participate during the giving season by hosting a food drive, donating a turkey, making a cash donation online, or volunteering.
