Almost $1 million in state funding towards Treasure Coast Food Bank’s job programs vetoed

FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — Last month, Governor Ron Desantis signed into law the state’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year, vetoing nearly $511 million toward programs and projects statewide during that process. This morning, we’re learning part of the new state budget that went into effect at the start of this month axed almost $1 million that usually goes toward the largest hunger-relief organization on the Treasure Coast.
